On To Phoenix
While you are in the area, Sedona is a lovely spot to spend a day or more. The Village of Oak Creek has similar sights and many hiking trails without as many tourists. Camp Verde is home to many horse people, especially in the summer. This area stays below 100'F most of the summer.
If you are hoping to stay for a day or two, give us a call. We can usually accomodate a few extra horses and people at our home in Cottonwood.
If you are heading further south, the I17 will take you into Phoenix. The map shows a few spots that might be of interest to horse people. Cave Creek and Rio Verde are home to many horse people. Scottsdale was the original Cowboy Town of Arizona. We recommend the Rusty Spur Saloon if you are in Scottsdale - but eat first as it is strictly drinks & music.
